My name is Michal Šanca. I’m a UX consultant, photographer and illustrator. For over 15 years I’ve been working on websites and visuals, and for over 12 years on content for businesses, online shops, the sports sector and the media. I started out with coding, graphic design and SEO, and gradually moved into UX, illustration and photography. Today, what gives me the greatest sense of fulfilment is finding that moment when a vague brief turns into a clear, understandable outcome.
I don’t just focus on appearance. I’m interested in the data – what’s actually happening on a website or online shop. I’m interested in where the customer is heading. And I start to build solutions based on this information. With a website, I’m interested in whether visitors understand what’s on offer and know what to do next. With a photograph, I look for a moment that has energy and practical application. With an illustration, I focus on the style, the message and its specific use.
This allows me to combine UX, visuals, content and business sense into one direction.
Over the years I have worked with the NHL, designed for Czech and foreign companies, photographed sports and events. My work has appeared in The Telegraph, international media and on products around the world.
The advantage is that you know exactly who you’re talking to – and who’s actually doing your work.
