Frequently Asked Questions
How much does an illustration cost?
The price depends on the complexity, the extent of use and whether the illustration is to be exclusive. Simpler illustrations start at approximately CZK 3,000, I will price more complex outputs or series of illustrations individually. I will send you a price estimate after a short brief before the work begins.
How long does it take to create?
I can often handle a simpler illustration in a few days. For more complex illustrations, series or campaign deliverables, expect 1-2 weeks depending on the scope and current capacity. I will always specify a deadline in advance based on the brief.
Will I get print-ready data?
Yes. I can supply the illustration in print-ready and online form. For example, I can prepare PDF, PNG, JPG or vector format according to your needs. If you already know where the illustration will be used, I will adjust the dimensions and data format accordingly.
Can I use the illustration commercially?
Yes, commercial use is possible. The important thing is to know in advance where and how the illustration will be used - for example, on the web, social media, advertising, product, merch or printed materials. I will set the scope of the license and the price accordingly.
What about the exclusivity of the illustration?
I can prepare the illustration as non-exclusive or exclusive. With a non-exclusive license, you can use it for the agreed purpose, but the author retains the option to continue to use the illustration. With an exclusive license, the illustration is for your use only and the price is higher depending on the scope of use.
Do you work outside of sports?
Yes. Sports illustrations are my strongest and most frequent subject, but I also work on illustrations for brands, products, campaigns, documentaries or presentations. What's important to me is not just the subject matter, but what the illustration is meant to explain, support or help sell.
